Bakoulev Center for Cardiovascular Surgery (Bakoulev CCVS), Russian Academy of Medical Sciences (RAMS) is the leading cardiovascular surgery-related facilities of the Country. The Center embraces Burakovsky Institute of Cardiac Surgery and The Institute of Coronary and Vascular Surgery, both located in Moscow. Burakovsky Institute of Cardiac Surgery is situated on Roublyevskoe Shosse, 135. The address of The Institute of Coronary and Vascular Surgery is Leninsky Prospekt, 8. Since 2005 Perm (Ural) Heart Institute joined as a filial branch of Bakoulev CCVS.
Clinical services include diagnostic, therapeutic, interventional and surgical treatment of congenital and acquired heart diseases, ischemic heart disease, arrhythmias, vascular disorders, heart failure, and rehabilitation. We are in active cooperation with cardiologist, neonatologists, and the physicians of other specialties. Our patients benefit from the newest, most effective techniques and technological tools. Our outpatient care stands on the highest quality.
Basic science and clinical research efforts have been fundamental to the mission of Bakoulev CCVS. Basic research involves experiments and studies in the laboratory setting. With several hundred of principal investigators, project scientists, research associates and postdoctoral fellows, who are under the patronage of the Academic Council, the scientific programs is one of the largest research facilities in the Russian Federation in the field of cardiovascular disorders.
